I have been dabbling in hand piecing with hexagons.  This led me to try machine sewing with hexagons.
Every summer my mom and I take a small trip.  In 2014 our trip led us to Indianapolis where I purchased this fat quarter stack at Crimson Tate, Click here to visit, downtown.  Of course I had to buy something so I ended up with this fabulous selection of modern pastels.  This is not more normal taste in fabric, but it really drew my eye.
After I stashed these fabrics for about half a year, I decided they would be perfect for my new hexagon obsession.  I waited until after Christmas to see if I would get the hexagon ruler I had been wanting:
With no luck I used some Christmas gift cards to purchase this fabulous ruler.  The project was underway.
I used the fabric on the right and saved my beloved owls for another project!

The quilting was tricking because I didn't want to take away from the quilt design.  I decided to outline random hexes until my quilting ran into itself.  Then I started another hexagon.  I am pleased with how this machine quilting turned out!

The finished project isn't complete until Bentley checks it out!  10 seconds and he's off.  I am debating on whether to keep it or sell it.  Any ideas?  Leave me comments please.
